The advice given by Jazz was very helpful, the guidance made total sense and helped us very much to make the night a big success from the setting of the tables design ideas and all the decoration and planning to make it a smooth and enjoyable night.
She has the capability not only to explain how the event will run but also explains the trends, products and services & put in a professional manner so I and my fiancé could understand what she was conveying. Giving us an image to picture so we knew what our Engagement Party could look like.

Jazz’s knowledge of the industry is extremely well. It gave us confidence in knowing we would get what we wanted. Jazz knew all the places to go to get everything James and I wanted.

We recently used Jazz to organise our housewarming party for 80 people. Jazz was extremely efficient and reliable; we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Within 24 hours of contacting event THIS, Jazz had obtained four catering quotes. She also provided detailed prices for equipment hire and drinks.
Not only did Jazz keep within our budget, but she created a fantastic party. Everything ran very smoothly and we had many comments from our friends on what a great party it was and we got to enjoy it as well!
Jazz is very professional and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely recommend event THIS for any event.

Thank you for making our 60th Wedding Anniversary at Brett’s Wharf such a success.
You did a marvellous job on everything; you really captured the vintage theme of old world charm.
The table setting was stunning, so many interesting ideas and the crystals on the mirrors looked like diamonds which tied in well with our “Diamond Anniversary”.
Everything was so beautiful... just perfect.

We cannot speak highly enough of the assistance given by Jazz Tyrril-Smart for our wedding last November. I have organised many events in my working life but never a wedding. I had no idea how different it would be.
We live in an old house and wanted a night wedding (approximately 100 people) so we could use lighting to decorate the garden and lawn areas.
Jazz was involved from the beginning of the planning process and helped use with every facet of the event. At our first meeting we outlined our ideas for the wedding. Very basic at that stage, we were hoping for an intimate setting, elegant yet casual. She researched our thoughts and added suggestions that complimented our wishes and then came back with catering and theming ideas that exactly matched our brief for the ceremony and the cocktail function following. An Arabian marquee was set up with fairy lights and spot lighting throughout the trees and the caterers provided an abundance of hot and cold canapés. Jazz gave us advice on how to cater for the bar and arranged staff to assist as well as arranging hire of all the seating, tables, linen and all audio visual requirements.
Jazz came along to the rehearsals the night before the wedding and then on the day, everything went smoothly without any involvement from us. That was when it really hit home how important it was for use to have her help. We had a wonderful day and didn’t give any thought whatsoever to how the event was running, a true indication of the level of professionalism and attention to detail. The comments that followed our marriage truly reflected the efforts of Jazz and we would not hesitate to recommend, or engage Jazz’s services again.
What was a very special occasion for us was enhanced and made all the more memorable as a result of her focus and dedication.

We can’t thank you enough for the amazing job you did with our wedding in April this year.
Our simple Sunday lunch wedding would have been a disaster had it not been for your attention to detail and methodical but personable approach to the planning of our reception. What started out as wedding invitations and bonbonnieres “with a difference”, turned into gorgeous table set up including place cards, menu cards, seating plan, wishing well & guest book signage, personalised tissues (for the tears of joy) and a fabulous kids table!
Planning a wedding is stressful for every bride, but not living near my venue and then moving overseas just 4 weeks before, made my wedding even more stressful and requiring detailed plans. Thank you for your excellent communication throughout. From assisting in a detailed running sheet, proofs of work you had done, ideas/suggestions that you put together, photographed and emailed me to just telling me to relax, you had it covered. It made me realise that our wedding day will be perfect.
event THIS is an amazing company headed up by a talented & gifted lady. I recommend that anyone who wants hassle free, professional, dedicated and fabulous “one of a kind” event, should make the call.
